I Love You This Big...

Just yesterday Skylar and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary. The day started off with Skylar bringing me breakfast in bed, which was blueberry pancakes and juice! It was YUMMY!! Then off to church we went. Then lunch time came around! Sky had made a super delish roast with red potatoes and carrots! It was sooooo Delicious!!!

We had the cute "wine glasses" filled with dr. pepper!! haha.. it was sooo fun!!

And Yes.. we even had candles! So romantic!!! lol.. It was a wonderful day!!
Then we got creative and decided to make ourselves some funnel cakes!! For the most part they worked,
but we  definately need to perfect our skills!!

Obviously they need a little bit of help!! lol.. But soon enough they'll be perfect!!

Then as I was pondering the other day about marriage and how exciting it is to be able to spend Eternity with my Best Friend, I was thinking about the little things that make a marriage fun and long lasting.
We have this paper on our fridge that we got in church a while ago and its been there ever since. Its a good reminder.. It says... -
"Happiness in marriage is not something that just Happens. A good marriage must be created in the art of marriage. The little things are  the big things.......
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I Love You" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted.
The courtship shouldn't end with the honeymoon, it should continue thru all the years.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
It is not expecting a husband to wear a halo, or a wife to have the wings of an angel.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding, and a sense of humor.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for the things of the spirit.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right partner, its BEING the right partner.
It is discovering what marriage can be, at its best.

These are good reminders for all of us! I'm so glad I married Skylar and I have him for Eternity!! I couldn't have asked for a better husband and I look forward to the many fun and adventurous years ahead of us!!
